This is general information, not an individual diagnosis or treatment plan. Outcomes vary between people.
Assess both partners
Fallopian tubes, ovulation, endometriosis, age and ovarian reserve matter alongside sperm count, movement and medical history. For unexplained infertility, previous treatments and the time spent trying also inform decisions. Urology or genetics input may be useful. Treating infertility as exclusively a woman’s problem gives an incomplete picture.
When should you seek an assessment?
Generally, assessment is recommended after twelve months of trying below age 35, or six months from age 35. Above 40, or with irregular periods, known tubal disease or a serious sperm problem, earlier assessment may be appropriate. Starting investigations does not automatically commit you to IVF.
What does a success rate measure?
A positive test, clinical pregnancy and live birth are different outcomes. Rates per transfer differ from cumulative outcomes per egg collection. Ask which age group and patients a figure describes. AMH helps anticipate ovarian response, but does not independently determine egg quality or whether pregnancy will occur.
Leave with a clear plan
Ask why a treatment is recommended, what alternatives exist, and which risks and costs may change. For people travelling to Konya, visit frequency and flexible transport also matter. A useful consultation provides understandable choices and realistic expectations rather than a promise of a particular result.
