This is general information, not an individual diagnosis or treatment plan. Outcomes vary between people.
How long will treatment take?
Preparation, stimulation, egg collection and transfer do not follow one fixed timetable. Some transfers happen in the same cycle; others follow freezing and preparation in a later cycle. Ask for a likely schedule by stage, allowing for changes before booking travel or arranging time away from work.
Do you need to stay in bed after transfer?
Prolonged bed rest is not a routine requirement. Discuss everyday movement according to your clinical circumstances. Use support medication as prescribed. If pain or bleeding occurs, contact the team rather than increasing, stopping or reducing medicines yourself. Your personalised discharge instructions take priority over general internet advice.
Can symptoms reveal the result?
Mild cramps, breast tenderness or no symptoms at all do not reliably predict success. Medication can cause pregnancy-like symptoms. Take the blood test on the recommended date and ask how results will be followed up. Severe abdominal pain, fainting, significant breathlessness or heavy bleeding require urgent assessment.
What happens after an unsuccessful cycle?
One result does not determine every future attempt. Review ovarian response, fertilisation, embryo development and transfer records together. Every unsuccessful cycle does not justify a large package of extra tests. Ask which finding supports the next plan and what the proposed change is meant to achieve. Bringing complete reports to a Konya consultation helps that discussion.
